I also translated some of my own novels from English into German. My main focus is novel translations from English into German. Due to my skills and experience in writing (five historical novels and a sixth one in progress, two non-fiction books), my translations are not only accurate, but also capture the essence of the author’s writing style and the atmosphere of the book.

My special focus is translating historical novels (I am a total history buff as my long-suffering friends will confirm) and crime novels (due to my law experience I’m also more familiar with many legal terms than many other translators are), but in general I’m fairly flexible when it comes to genre. It definitely needs to be something I can put my heart into because that’s the only way to provide a truly authentic, convincing translation.
